Two weeks is not enough to relearn an entire course from scratch. It is enough to identify a few major gaps, practice the format, and improve how you explain your reasoning. Treat this as a triage plan, not a promise of a particular AP score.

Days 1–2: diagnose before reviewing

Take a timed practice set that resembles the materials you will use for the exam. Mark each error by cause: concept, setup, arithmetic, reading the question, or time pressure. Then rank topics by the number of missed points and how quickly they could improve.

Do not spend your first days rereading every chapter. A short error log tells you where review has the highest payoff.

Days 3–9: alternate review and retrieval

For each weak topic, review one compact explanation and then answer fresh questions without notes. Check the reasoning, not just the final answer. If you make the same mistake twice, write a one-sentence rule and a counterexample you can revisit tomorrow.

Build FRQ practice into most days. AP Central publishes recent AP Chemistry free-response questions and scoring materials; use a released question, compare your answer with the scoring guidelines, and record where your explanation failed to earn a point.

Days 10–12: practice under realistic constraints

Complete a longer timed set and review it the same day. Look for patterns: are you missing the same content, losing time on setup, or giving answers that lack required justification? Fix the pattern rather than adding more random practice.

You can enter your practice MCQ and FRQ points into the AP Chemistry score calculator to see a planning estimate. Use it to compare scenarios, not as an official score prediction.

Days 13–14: consolidate, then rest

Revisit your error log, redo representative missed questions, and prepare a short list of concepts to review once more. Avoid an all-night cram session. The goal is to arrive able to read carefully and explain what you know.

A useful final check: can you explain why a solution works without looking at the answer key?

If your practice FRQ points are uncertain, use the calculator’s Estimate My FRQ mode to test a plausible range instead of entering an overconfident exact score.
